Privacy Policy

Eugene Networks ("we," "us") operates the website at www.eugenenetworks.com. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

This policy covers visitors to our website and people who contact us through it. It does not cover the data we handle for clients under a managed services agreement. That work is governed by the client's service agreement with us.

Information you give us

You can send us information through the forms on this site:

  • Contact form. Your name, company, email address, and your message.
  • Appointments form. Your name, business name, email address, phone number, and whether your business is in Oregon or Arizona.
  • Client support form. Your name, company, email address, phone number, and a description of the issue.
  • Appointment scheduler. When you book a time through the scheduler on our Appointments page, you give your name, email address, phone number, and the appointment details. The scheduler is run by Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace service, under Squarespace's privacy policy.

You can also call or email us directly. When you do, we keep the contact details and notes needed to follow up.

We use this information to respond to you, to schedule and hold the conversation or service you asked for, to prepare a proposal if you request one, and to keep a record of the inquiry. We do not currently send a newsletter or marketing email. If we start one, we will ask before adding you to it, and every message will include an unsubscribe link.

Information collected automatically

When you visit this site, some information is collected by software rather than typed by you:

  • Server and platform logs. Our site is hosted on Squarespace. Squarespace records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the time of each visit. Squarespace also sets cookies needed to run the site and to produce its own visitor statistics. See Squarespace's cookie policy.
  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site: which pages get visited, roughly where visitors are located, what kind of device they use, and which actions they take, such as submitting a form or tapping a phone number. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
  • Google Ads. We advertise on Google. Google Ads conversion tracking tells us when a visit that started from one of our ads led to a form submission, a booking, or a phone call. We also use Google Ads remarketing, which can show our ads to people who have visited this site when they later browse other sites or Google services. Both use cookies set by Google.
  • Enhanced conversions. When you submit a form, your email address or phone number may be hashed (converted into a fixed code) and sent to Google. Google uses that code to match your submission to a Google account that clicked one of our ads, so we can tell which ads lead to inquiries. Google does not receive your readable email or phone number through this process.
  • Calls placed from our ads. If you call us by tapping the phone number in one of our Google ads, the call may route through a Google forwarding number. Google reports the call's date, length, and caller details such as the area code.
  • Google Tag Manager. The tools above are loaded through Google Tag Manager.
  • reCAPTCHA. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block automated spam. reCAPTCHA looks at hardware and software signals from your browser to decide whether a visitor is human. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it. We share it only in these cases:

  • Our team. Form submissions and booking notices go by email to the Eugene Networks staff who handle new inquiries and client support.
  • Service providers. Squarespace (website hosting, form storage, scheduling), Microsoft (email, via Microsoft 365), and the contractor who manages our website and advertising process data on our behalf to run the site and our business. Google provides analytics, advertising, and spam protection under its own policies, linked in the section above.
  • Legal reasons. We will disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, our clients, or public safety.
  • Business changes. If Eugene Networks is sold or merged, inquiry records may transfer to the new owner under this same policy.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions and inquiry records for as long as we need them to follow up on the inquiry and maintain a business history, and afterwards as required by law or our record-keeping practices. Google Analytics keeps visitor-level data for a limited period set in our account, after which only aggregated reports remain. You can ask us to delete your inquiry records at any time using the contact details below.

Your choices

  • Cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site features, such as the scheduler.
  • Google Analytics. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Google Ads personalization. You can adjust ad personalization at Google Ads Settings or opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance.
  • Do Not Track. Our site does not currently respond to the Do Not Track browser setting.
  • Global Privacy Control. Our site does not currently respond to Global Privacy Control signals.
  • Access, correction, deletion. You can ask what personal information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at the address below. We will verify your identity before acting on the request and will respond within 45 days.

State privacy rights

Residents of California, Oregon, Arizona and other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information a business collects, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We will honor access, correction, and deletion requests from any visitor regardless of where they live. We do not sell personal information. Google receives information about your visit for the remarketing and conversion measurement described above. You can opt out of personalized ads using the links in the previous section.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including access controls, encrypted connections to this site, and the security practices we apply across our own business. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page for at least 30 days.
